Saving with Online Cash Back

I don't know about you but I am going to shop, I'm going to buy stuff on line and I'm going to spend money. But, just because I'm spending money doesn't mean I don't try to save as much as possible and cash back is certainly one way.

Take for example Ebates -- Ebates is a company that once you sign up you log in, visit their site for a cash back reward and then use their link to get to your shopping site. I'm a student, so every year I do a google for the lowest price of my book, then I do an ebates search for that company and compare the cash back value for that site.

You can save money too by Sign Up Here

Tinker Crate Review - Ages 9-16+

Tinker Crate September Box Review

Tinker Crate is a subscription box available for children ages 9-16+. They have other Crates too Koala for ages 3-4, Kiwi for ages 4-8, and also Doodle Crate which is also for 9-16+. We have previously purchased Kiwi crates for my boys who are 4 and 7, I had an offer to get the Tinker Crate for the cost of shipping and jumped on it.

This month's Tinker Crate theme was Soda Science included is all pictured below:

It came with a bottle for a bottle rocket and multiple experiments, Citric Acid packet, Soda Bicarbonate (Baking Soda),

balloons for experiments, rivet stickers, a bottle rocket stand,

a mixing cup, measuring spoon, and stir stick.

The blueprints are for the bottle rocket and though it says it's for 9 year olds my 7 year old would have needed little to no guidance as clear as the instructions were.

As it was we did it as a family activity and had even the 4 year old helping.

In the Tinker Zine there are a number of experiments to do with the included objects and a few to do with stuff you could do that was related to the theme.

The pages have a number of experiments that your child can do. All related to the theme of Soda. I love how many different options come out of each box. I like to take time with the experiments and make the boxes last a little longer.

For the bottle rocket we only needed to supply the water. Here is the bottle rocket completed and waiting to launch.

Our rocket launch was so much fun! The boys loved it and there were plenty of oohs and ahhhs!

Tinker Crate offers 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions.

3 month runs $60, 6 month runs $110, 12 month runs at $205.

Here is the video of our 2nd rocket launch.

Fall Target Beauty Box

Target Beauty Box

I ordered this through the Target  website. This comes out usually quarterly, though it may be coming out more often. You can purchase these for between $5 to $10. This one was $5 and while some have been close to $40 in value  this particular box had a value of $19.

This is a curly girl's dream box of samples. It can be so difficult with curly hair to get products that work with your hair so being able to sample this many products for $5 is awesome.

Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner
A lightweight spray that offers a protective barrier against damage for fragile, color-treated or relaxed hair.

This is a spray on, I have found a lot of leave-ins to be pumps. To me the scent is sort of like fabric softener. This product is Vegan, Paraben Free, and it is safe for hair color.

Curls Créme Brule Whipped Curl Cream
This cream styler defines, de-frizzes and moisturizes your tresses, leaving curls soft without hold.

This is thick and creamy as one would expect from Créme Brule it also smells just like that! This one is nice, I have purchased it before but I do not love it. It is nice but not for my hair.

Dove Quench Absolute Crème Serum
Tame frizz and keeps curls defined with this lightweight, fast-absorbing serum.

I have begun using BB cremes for my hair so this is sort of like that. I have used the Pantene BB Creme and the Pantene Pro-V Anti-Frizz Curl Creme the consistency of this is similar, they're sort of like lotions for your hair. They do not make your hair feel sticky or goopy. With curly hair you have to constantly fight between being able to hold the curl and keep the frizz under control but you don't want stiff or over-product'ed hair.  The scent seems rather classic Dove scent.

SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Restore moisture and shine to color-treated or chemically processed hair with this oil-based lotion.

I haven't found a Shea Mountain product I haven't liked. This one is not the exception. Curly hair is always thirsty and needs to be babied and cared for, this helps with some of the control of those curls and it helps restore. This feels so smooth, absorbs nicely, and leaves your hair soft. It smells great too.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment
This multipurpose ointment helps soothe and protect dry, chapped or irritated skin.

This is great stuff, you can use it on anywhere that gets dry, this works great for cuticles, feet, and even lips. One of the truths of a woman who is aging is that her hands always tell her age. I have made it a mission to keep mine fibbing about my age so I use a lot of hand creams and products like Aquaphor to help that along.

Colgate Optic White Platinum Express White Toothpaste
A breakthrough formula that whitens teeth in just 3 days, with best results after 4 weeks.

I'm not 3 days into this so I can't attest to the claims yet but I love getting toothpastes to try. I'm extremely picky about them I don't like them too gritty or to have harsh mint or worse some weird flavor so getting a trial size of one I want to try is great.

Free Vitamin Sample

Centrum Vitamint

From Centrum® is a new minty multivitamin. These sort of remind me a bit of an antacid, though less chalky, they are supremely minty.  They do not have that vitamin aftertaste that you can get from other forms of chewable vitamins. As they state they are a Refreshingly Minty Multivitamin.

I was lucky enough to try these for free, learn more about it get your own sample here.

They should be arriving in store soon so keep an eye out.
